Nagy Péter 1977-ben született Budapesten. Orgonazenei tanulmányait Solymosi Ferencnél kezdte, majd Vácon Bednarik Anasztáziánál folytatta. Felsőfokú tanulmányait a Szegedi Tudományegyetem Zeneművészeti Karán végezte dr. Csanádi László tanítványaként. 2004-ben főiskolai-, majd 2006-ban egyetemi orgonaművész diplomát szerzett. 2006 nyarától a szegedi Fogadalmi templom (Dóm) kántora, orgonaművésze. 2007-ben beindította a dóm orgonakoncert sorozatát, melynek azóta is művészeti vezetője. 2011 és 2016 között a Gál Ferenc Hittudományi Főiskola kántor szakának oktatója volt. 2014-ben jelent meg könyve A Szegedi Dóm orgonája címmel, bemutatva benne a hangszer részletes történetét. Orgonáról, orgona mellől elnevezésű orgonaismertető előadásait sokszázan tekintették meg minden korosztályból. Koncertező művészként fellépett több hazai templomban (Budapest, Tihany, Zirc, Baja, stb), valamint külföldi helyszíneken is (Brassó, Zenta). 2012-13-ban elvégezte Budapesten a Zeneakadémia szervezésében indított orgonaismereti tanfolyamot.

Péter Nagy was born in Budapest in 1977. He began his organ studies under Ferenc Solymosi and later continued them with Anasztázia Bednarik in Vác. He pursued his higher education at the Faculty of Music of the University of Szeged as a student of Dr. László Csanádi. He earned his college-level organ diploma in 2004, followed by a university-level organ diploma in 2006. Since the summer of 2006, he has served as the cantor and organist of the Votive Church (Cathedral) in Szeged. In 2007, he launched the Cathedral’s organ concert series, for which he has served as artistic director ever since. Between 2011 and 2016, he taught in the cantor training program at the Gál Ferenc College of Theology. In 2014, he published a book titled *The Organ of the Szeged Cathedral* (*A Szegedi Dóm orgonája*), presenting the detailed history of the instrument. Hundreds of people of all ages have attended his lecture-demonstrations on the organ. As a concert artist, he has performed in numerous churches across Hungary (including Budapest, Tihany, Zirc, and Baja) as well as at venues abroad (such as Brașov and Senta). In 2012–2013, he completed an organ studies course organized by the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest.
