Organ concert – Dr. László Csanádi

Dr. László Csanádi DLA is an organist, university professor, and an outstanding figure in Hungarian music. He was born in Tatabánya in 1954 and began his musical career as a Roman Catholic cantor. He completed his studies at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, where he graduated in 1981, then obtained the DLA degree in 2002, and his habilitation in 2011. During his career, he spent ten years in Italy, where he taught, gave concerts, and was also the organist of the Montecchio Maggiore Cathedral.

Since 1991, he has been an organ teacher at the Faculty of Music of the University of Szeged, where he launched the organ department based on his own curricula, and as the responsible lecturer of the department, he has played a significant role in its national recognition. In addition to his teaching work, he performs liturgical services in several churches in Szeged and organizes concert series, including the Collegium Musicum and the Szeged International Organist Meetings.

As an artist, he has performed in 15 European countries, and his repertoire focuses on the works of Bach, Franck, Liszt and Reger. As a teacher and performer, he has undertaken numerous courses, lectures and organ competition juries, both at home and abroad. His music pedagogical and artistic work is outstanding, for which he is highly respected in professional circles.
