Temporary Exhibition – By the Light of the Torah
In the Light of the Torah – Diverse Orthodox Jewish Life Before the Era of Peril
On Sunday, March 15, at 3:00 PM, an exciting exhibition will open in the synagogue, presenting the Orthodox Jewish world before the Holocaust. The exhibition is a traveling exhibition of the HDKE – Holocaust Documentation Center and Memorial Collection, supplemented by the history and documents of the former Orthodoxy of Szeged.
The aim of the exhibition is to provide a closer look at the worldview of Orthodox Judaism and to challenge prejudicial images, with particular attention to everyday life and community traditions.

The temporary exhibition can be visited until 30.03.2026, with a synagogue entrance ticket.

After the opening, a curatorial tour will be given by Dr. habil. Norbert Glässer, associate professor (SZTE-BTK, HDKE)
